Doha: Jockey Carlos Henrique teamed up with Abdulaziz Ali Al Kathiri’s Inherent to land the Lisha Cup at Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club’s (QREC) 15th Al Uqda Meeting, yesterday.
At Al Uqda Equestrian Complex, the Zuhair Mohsen-trained produced a slick pace to notch up a commanding four-length victory in day’s feature – 1400m Thoroughbred Handicap 70-90 (Class 3). QREC Racing Manager Abdulla Rashid Al Kubaisi crowned the winners.

The penultimate race of the day saw Abdulaziz Saleh Al Jaber’s Rahaf HA claiming a win in 1300m Handicap (0-90) for 4YO+ Purebred Arabians under jockey Khadija Abdulwahed.
Also yesterday, Abdulatif Hussain Al Emadi’s homebred Alwaad emerged victorious in the 1300m Handicap (65-85) for 4YO+ Local Thoroughbreds by a length for trainer Bader Al Balushi and jockey Hugo Besnier.
