Al Darwish and Al Rumaihi elected President, Secretary-General of QEMPF

Badr bin Muhammad Al Darwish has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of the Qatar Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Federation while Ali Al Rumaihi was elected as the Secretary-General of the federation during the General Assembly meeting held yesterday.

Doha: Badr bin Muhammad Al Darwish was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors and President of the Qatar Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Federation while Ali Al Rumaihi was elected as the Secretary-General of the federation at the Qatar Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Federation’s (QEMPF) General Assembly Meeting held yesterday.

Badr Al Darwish thanked the General Assembly for the confidence reposed in him and for electing him as the president. 

He promised that this confidence would be translated into a great work aimed at getting many achievements for the Qatari equestrian. 

He also thanked Hamad bin Abdul Rahman Al Attiyah, the former president of the federation and the president of the Asian Equestrian Federation, for the great work he had done in the previous period and for bringing Qatari equestrian to its highest levels globally and regionally. 

During Al Attiyah’s tenure, equestrianism succeeded in achieving many international achievements. 

The QEMPF expressed its thanks and appreciation to Al Attiyah for his achievements with the Qatari federation from 2011 to 2021, noting that the one of the most important of these achievements was the nomination of the first team for the Olympic Games Rio 2016 in addition to winning many accolades and medals at Asian Games tours and the high level the equestrian achieved during his reign, as also the interest among the new generation, led by the Future Knights School.
