Realty trading reaches QR1.7bn in August

Doha: The volume of real estate trading in sales contracts registered with the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice during the month of August reached QR1.7bn.

The report released from the Ministry of Justice showed that 360 real estate deals were registered during the past month, and the number of properties sold increased by 7 percent, and the traded space index recorded a 22 percent increase.

The municipalities of Doha, Al Rayyan and Al Daayen topped the most active in terms of financial value during the month of August, according to the real estate market index, followed by - in the volume of deals - the municipalities of Umm Salal, Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Al Thakhira, and Al Shamal.

The real estate market index for the month of August showed that the financial value of the transactions of Doha Municipality amounted to QR654.81m, while the financial value of the transactions of Al Rayyan Municipality amounted to QR468.23m and the financial value of Al Daayen municipality transactions amounted to QR280m, and value for Al Wakra amounted to QR136m.

In terms of traded areas, indicators showed that the municipalities of Al Rayyan, Doha and Al Daayen were the most active during the month of August, with a percentage of (34 percent) for Al Rayyan municipality, followed by the Municipality of Doha with (23 percent), then Al Daayen by (14 percent), while the two municipalities of Al Wakra recorded Umm Salal (10 percent) for each of them.
