MECC, IFAW review cooperation efforts to conserve wildlife

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MECC) and the Director of the Regional Office of the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of wildlife conservation.

This came during a meeting between MECC's Assistant Undersecretary for Protection and Natural Reserves Affairs Dr. Ibrahim Abdul Latif Al Muslemani and Director of the Regional Office of IFAW Dr. Akram Eissa Darwich.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Director of the Wildlife Development Department Khalid Jumaa Al Mohannadi, along with a number of department heads and specialists from the department.

During the meeting, the two sides affirmed their shared commitment to developing partnerships and exchanging expertise to contribute to the conservation of biodiversity and the protection of threatened species.
