Doha, Qatar: The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced that the remote work system will continue to be implemented for up to 70% of the total number of employees in each entity, with priority given to mothers and persons with disabilities, provided this does not affect work requirements.
It added that remaining 30% of employees will report to their workplaces starting Monday, March 9, 2026, until further notice.
In a social media post, it said, "With reference to the statement issued by the Council of Ministers Secretariat General on March 2, 2026, regarding remote work, it has been decided to continue implementing the remote work system for no more than 70% of the total number of employees in each entity, with priority given to mothers and persons with disabilities, provided this does not affect work requirements."
It added that this applies to all ministries, other government entities, public bodies and institutions.
This decision excludes employees in the military and security sectors and the health sector, as well as employees in entities and administrative units whose work requires their presence at the workplace.
