DOHA: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs concluded yesterday the tests of the memorisation of the Holy Quran for students of Quranic centers affiliated to the ministry.

About 133 students participated in the contest. The ministry said in a press statement that the students who completed the memorisation of the whole Holy Quran belong to 22 centres at the state level, and were subjected to tests of conservation and proficiency in front of 12 committees.

The ministry also pointed out that the outstanding level of students in this contest confirms the success of its plan to increase the capacity of students and develop the skills of conservers affiliated to the Quranic centers.

The tests contribute to the development process and push students to increase the competition to memorize the Holy Quran accurately, the Ministry said.
