Los Angeles---American blues legend B.B. King has been hospitalised, The Los Angeles Times reported Monday, citing representatives for the singer but giving no details about his condition.
Nicknamed "King of the Blues", 89-year-old Mississippi-born Riley B. King is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and has been ranked among the greatest guitar players of all time.
He has lived with Type II diabetes for more than 20 years.
Representatives gave no information about where King was being treated, the Times said.
With more than 50 albums under his belt, King is known for hits such as the 1950s "Three O'Clock Blues", "The Thrill Is Gone" in 1970, and the 1989 "When Love Comes to Town" with Irish rockers U2.
In October, King was taken ill during a show. He was diagnosed with dehydration and exhaustion and cancelled the rest of his tour.
