DOHA: The Qatar Stars League (QSL) organised a ceremony in its headquarters at Al Bidda Tower to mark the country’s triumph at the Asian Cup, in the presence of QSL and Qatar Football Association (QFA) President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani and CEO Hani Taleb Ballan.
Abdulla Ali Al Hammadi, Executive Director of Operations at QSL, Hassan Rabiah Al Kuwari, Executive Director of Marketing, Sales and Communication at QSL, and Ahmed Khellil Abbassi, Acting Executive Director of Competitions and Football Development, were among those present on the occasion.
Sheikh Hamad congratulated all attendees, stressing that the achievement belonged to the entire Qatar football family which includes the QSL, an important part of the professional football system in Qatar.
He pointed out that the Asian success came as a result of great efforts and hard work, and it was important to sustain the momentum if Qatar football was to win more international laurels.
Sheikh Hamad said: “Winning the Cup is the culmination of hard work, dedication, integrity and harmony between all sections of the system, and that everyone should be proud of what has been achieved, be it players or coaches as well as officials and staff, especially that of the QSL and various stakeholders. This achievement should be a great motivation for all employees of the organisation.”
