QICDRC officials with the visiting delegation from the Supreme Court of Justice of Paraguay led by Dr Jose Raul Torrres Kirmser at QICDRC premises.
DOHA: Qatar International Court and Disputes Resolution Centre (QICDRC) welcomed yesterday a delegation from the Supreme Court of Justice of Paraguay led by Dr Jose Raul Torrres Kirmser,Paraguayan Chief Justice, to learn about QICDRC’s distinguished legal framework and discuss aspects of cooperation.
Fasial Al-Sahouti, CEO of QICDRC, introduced the delegation to the specialised and authoritative legal framework adopted at QICDRC, and explained QICDRC’s role as a trustworthy legal platform that helps establish Qatar as a key global commerce hub in the Middle East.
The visiting delegation also toured the courtroom and the arbitration facilities available at QICDRC and were introduced to the advanced technologies used to enhance effectiveness and convenience during court hearings and arbitration sessions.
“The Paraguayan delegation’s visit to QICDRC reaffirms our commitment to contributing to the development of the overall legal framework around the world, and reflects our efforts to build a unique legal model through international collaborations and partnerships,” said Faisal Al-Sahouti, Chief Executive Officer, Qatar International Court and Disputes Resolution Centre.
The Paraguayan delegation’s visit to QICDRC comes as a part of their plans to establish a similar specialised court in Paraguay in efforts to position the country as a trustworthy international business destination and attract foreign investments.
QICDRC has also invited the Paraguayan Supreme Court of Justice to join the Standing International Forum of Commercial Courts, of which Qatar is one of the founding members.
