DOHA:  Qatar Stars League (QSL) big guns Al Gharafa, yesterday announced its contract with Algerian professional Elias Hassani until the end of the season.

The new professional player will strengthen Al Gharafa’s centre of the defense as they prepare for the second half of the season.

“Elias is a strong addition to the team, and he is confident that he will continue for a long time with the club,” said team manager Saad Al Shammari at the press conference.

Hassani, on the occasion hoped to help his new team achieve desirable results in the season.

“Our team has a lot of young players and it is useful for the future of the club and also for the future of the Qatari team, especially in the presence of names like Sneijder, Vladimir and also the player Abdelaziz Hatem,” said Hassani.

“I thank everyone in Al Gharafa club, management, technicians and players for their warm reception and I will strive to provide the best for the team,” he added.

The Algerian player also congratulated Qatar team for the historic 2019 Asian Cup victory.
