Doha: The first Youth Table Tennis Festival, featuring over 50 players, concluded on a highly successful note on Saturday. Organized by the Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA), the event marked the start of the 2025-2026 season and drew players from clubs across the country. Competitions were held in three age groups - 2016, 2017, and 2018 and younger - with strong performances from emerging talents.
In the 2017 category, Al Sadd’s Xian Su claimed first place, followed by Qatar SC’s Ghanem Abdulaziz Al Suwaidi in second. Al Arabi’s Shenin Sun and Michael George shared third. In the 2016 group, Qatar SC’s Mohammed Nour Qabawa took the title, ahead of Al Ahli’s Asr Sharbasi, while Al Sadd’s Shane Kenzen and Al Shamal’s Mohammed Nasser finished joint third.
