Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met today with Mufti of Al Quds and the Palestinian Territories HE Sheikh Mohammad Ahmad Mohammad Hussein, who is currently on a visit to the country.
During the meeting, they discussed the developments of the work of the Qatar Permanent Committee to support Al-Quds and the latest projects that are being implemented through it. His Excellency stressed the priority that the State of Qatar attaches to supporting the protection of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds and providing the necessary support to Palestinian citizens there.
The Foreign Minister reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause, the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
