Doha: Team Qatar athletes Seif Mohammed, Ashraf Hussain and Muaz Ibrahim clinched gold medals at the 15th Arab Games 2023 in Algeria’s capital city of Algiers, yesterday. Mohammed won the pole vault event while Hussain won the 400m final before Ibrahim took the victory in the discus throw final. Hammdy Al Ameen (top) clinched the high jump silver medal while Qatar’s para-athlete Abdulrahman Abdulqader (right) also added a medal, claiming the bronze in shot put event yesterday. Qatar is participating in the event with 104 athletes, who will compete in 17 disciplines at the Games which will see a total of around 3500 athletes from 22 countries taking part.
