Qatar Central Securities Depository (QCSD) registered the treasury bills issued by Qatar Central Bank during the month of March with a value of QR600m.
The T-Bills are of varying maturity periods- three months, six months and nine months. The T-Bills included threemonth treasury bills worth QR300m. The total number of T-Bills issued was 30,000 and a maturity date of June 2, 2020. The QCSD also registered sixmonth T-Bills worth QR200m, and the total number of T-Bills issued was 20,000 and a maturity date of Sep. 1, 2020.
The QCSD also registered nine-month treasury bills with the value of QR100m. The total number of T-Bills issued was10,000 and a maturity date of December 1, 2020. This came in the monthly report issued by QCSD which was released on Sunday. QCSD said the number of shareholders recognized in the company’s system in December 2020 amounted to 389,136, while the number of shareholders with a bank account stood at 56,532. In March, there were 203,165 ownership transfer and. In the third market, QCSD conducted 195 family transfers and 511 inheritance transfers.
The company provided numbers and statistics in the report that show main activities that were carried out in March, where 130 mortgages and 158 mortgage closures were recorded, while 111 new account opening transactions were registered and 5,501 account statements were issued, in addition to issuing 463 certificates to whom it may concern.
Regarding the number of shareholders who own shares on the system according to nationality (Qatari and non-Qatari) and the type of shareholder (individuals and institutions), the number of shareholders of Qatari individuals during March 2020reached 231,741 individual shareholders, while the number of shareholders from Qatari institutions in the same month reached 1,545 institutions.
As for non-Qatari individuals, there were 154,770 shareholders, and 1,080 from nonQatari institutions.
