Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Inc Qatar Chapter members during the beach clean-up.
Doha: The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers Inc Qatar Chapter (PICE Qatar) in coordination with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) held a coastal clean-up in Al Wakrah 'dog' beach area recently.
It was organised as the country observed the Environment Day.
PICE Qatar said it was the 17th year they organised such an activity as part of their social responsibility.
PICE Qatar President, Eng. Rolan Nevado said the clean-ups are among the programmes and advocacies of the group and also they fall under its core values called PILES or Professionalism, Integrity, Leadership, Excellence and Social Responsibility.
Over 25 members and officials joined in the activity.
It was also held in support of the government’s environmental and sanitation programmes which promote a clean and healthy environment.
