Doha, Qatar: During Charity Week 2025, the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, a global organisation dedicated to education and development, will launch a fundraising initiative in collaboration with universities across Qatar.

The week-long event is part of EAA’s 2025 ‘Back to School’ campaign, said Director of Private Sector Partnerships and Communication at EAA, Taj Sulaiman speaking to The Peninsula recently.

“In October, we will be implementing a very important initiative with 24 universities in Qatar under the banner of Charity Week,” Sulaiman said. “It is a student-led event where young people from different universities will organise activities such as football matches, movie nights, bake sales, and cultural events to raise funds for EAA Foundation.”

The Charity Week is a global initiative that takes place in the UK, US, Canada, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore, and Qatar. While each country supports projects locally, the Qatar edition will channel all proceeds to EAA Foundation’s programmes.

“During Charity Week 2025, students across schools and universities in Qatar will transform campuses into hubs of generosity,” Sulaiman added. “From bake sales and book drives to awareness exhibitions, these young volunteers are showing the power of Qatar’s youth to drive change for their less fortunate peers.”

In addition to campus activities, a public “Back to School” festival will be held at West Walk, featuring educational workshops, health and sports activities, and cultural performances for families. “Community engagement events are at the heart of the campaign, enabling the public to participate in fun and meaningful ways,” said Sulaiman.

EAA’s 2025 Back to School campaign, running from August 15 to December 31, is a national fundraising and community engagement initiative. Its goal is to ensure vulnerable children worldwide gain access to inclusive, high-quality education.

Through the campaign, EAA will provide school kits and backpacks to young learners, award scholarships to disadvantaged youth, and build or rehabilitate classrooms and educational facilities. All efforts are aligned with EAA’s mission to reach the hardest-to-reach children and uphold every child’s right to education.

Part of  EAA’s 2025 Back to School campaign  a “Duck Release” event at Place Vendôme mall   public were able to donate QR 25 to release a yellow rubber duck in the mall’s fountain, with 100% of proceeds funding education for out-of-school children globally.

This vibrant activation, held in September 2025, aims to support over 1,000 children with school supplies and scholarships, symbolising hope for their futures and a commitment to their education.
