The Ministry of Education and Higher Education confirmed the Teachers’ Day celebration embodies loyalty, and is considered a recognition to all the teachers’ efforts, ideal giving and their work perseverance in the tough and tiring field of education.
Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry, Fawzia Al Khater, said in a press statement the award is well deserved to all teachers and is a message to urge appreciation and gratitude and instil it in the society that they lead the way in education which is the most graceful profession.
Director of Teachers Affairs Department at the Ministry, Ahmed Jumaa Al Jusemani, said, education plays big role in the foundation of a person and in building human societies, and this must be honoured. He also said that the celebration reflects the loyalty of the officials and the leadership to the teacher, which confirms their high status.
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education annually celebrates this day in line with the World Teachers’ Day set by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) to be held yearly on October 5, in recognition of their role as a pillar of the educational process.
The celebration will award one hundred of the oldest teachers in Qatar, in recognition for all their effort and contribution in the educational field.
