An unexpected victory for NVBS, Doha-Qatar Shuttlers in Trivandrum District Badminton Championship, 2023

Players from Qatar-based New Vision Badminton Sport surprised the entire Trivandrum Badminton circuit with their unexpected results in the District Badminton Championship, 2023 held at Falcon Badminton Academy, Anayara, Trivandrum, Kerala from 29th June to 3rd July 2023.

Adlyn Mary Sojan of NVBS got Double Crown in Trivandrum District, Badminton Championship, 2023. She won the Under-13 Girls Singles & Under-13 Girls Doubles titles by partnering with Sanjanaa Nakulan.

Shreyas Reddy Chilaka of NVBS won the Second Runner-up position in Under-13 Boys Singles. In the Finals Shreyas played against the Top seeded player of Trivandrum District - Abhiram S and the match was a breathtaking tight fight (Score: 14-21, 21-17 & 20-22).

  8 years old Andriya Reetha Sojan & Carrol Bethany of NVBS grabbed the Under-11 Girls Doubles title.

 In Under-11 Boys doubles Arnav Sandeep Nair & Adon Cheriyan Liju won second place.

 Unseeded player Sanjanaa Nakulan of NVBS won the Runner-up position in Under-13 Girls Singles.

  As a special award, 5 & half-year-old Aadidev Aji of NVBS is awarded the Youngest Player of the Tournament award.

  Along with the achievements in their categories, most of the players showed their best performance in higher age categories also.

    All these achievements are unexpected ones for NVBS. All the NVBS family, including the Management, Coaches, Players, and Parents are extremely happy with our players’ performances and achievements. This is the result of those players’ hard work & their effort behind.

    Head Coach Afsal O K and Chief Coach Manoj Sahibjan lead the entire NVBS Squad for this District Championship. Their whole support throughout this tournament is unforgettable and supported a lot for the players to perform. At this small age, that sort of support is most important for players. "Same time it was a pleasure and happy moment to sit with those upcoming young talents during their matches and we the coaches enjoyed it. All the kids cooperated with our advice and guidance completely", Said Chief Coach Manoj Sahibjan. Also, the effort taken by the parents for making the players participate in the District championship is priceless, added by the Chief Coach.
