Qatar handball team has been drawn in Group A for the fifth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games, scheduled to be held in Konya, Turkey, from August 9-18. The four-time Asian champions will join Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Iraq in the group stage. Group B consists of Turkey, Iran and Azerbaijan. The Qatar Handball Association and the team's Serbian coach Goran Djokic will announce the squad in the next few days.
