Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index gained 122.04 points, or 1.17 percent, last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 10,566.52 points.
Trading value during last week decreased by 30.19 percent to reach QR875.89m compared to QR1.25bn.
Trading volume increased by 6.86 percent to reach 272.72 million shares, as against 255.21 million shares, while the number of transactions rose by 3.74 percent to reach 26,680 transactions as compared to 25,718 transactions.
Market cap rose by 1 percent to reach QR581.98bn last week as compared to QR576.20bn at the end of previous week, reports QNA.
Banking and financial services sector led traded value last week with 290.02 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 22.28 percent. Consumer goods and services sector accounted for 14.22 percent and Telecom sector accounted 12.92 percent.
Industries sector led traded volume this week with 25.88 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and financial services sector accounted 25.18 percent. Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 22.93 percent and Real Estate sector accounted 19.22 percent.
Industries sector led traded number of transactions this week with 36.08 percent of the total number of transactions. Banking and financial services sector accounted 24.19 percent. Consumer goods and services sector accounted 13.75 percent and Real Estate sector accounted 9.95 percent.
From the 46 listed companies 13 ended this week higher, while 28 fell and five unchanged.
Ooredoo led trading value during this week accounted for 10.49 percent of the total trading value. QNB accounted for 9.38 percent and Industries Qatar accounted 7.24 percent.
When compared on daily basis the QSE index dropped 24.08 points, or 0.23 percent, yesterday compared to Wednesday’s closing.
The volume of shares traded increased to 70.64 million yesterday from 53.62 million on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR153.70m from QR169.42m on Wednesday.
From the 48 companies listed on QSE, shares of 46 saw trading today. From these, 18 companies gained, 21 closed lower, while seven remaining company unchanged.
Indices of one sectors ended in green zone and six sectors ended red zone today. QSE Total Return Index dropped 0.23 percent to 19,443.28 points and QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index decreased 0.24 percent to 4,088.90 points. QSE All Share Index lost 0.11 percent to 3,125.36 points.
