Team Qatar is all set to compete in the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships which begins in Bhubaneswar, India tomorrow.
The Qatari contingent will be among over 1000 athletes from across 45 countries who will participate in the four-day event which concludes on July 9.
Qatar athletics team delegation to the prestigious event is led by Mohammed Essa Al Fadalla, the Secretary General of Qatar Athletics Federation (QAF), accompanied by elite and prominent athletes who will compete in the 100m, 200m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m and 5000m.
This is the third time the premier track and field event of the continent is being held in India after New Delhi (1989) and Pune (2013), and is a qualifying event for the IAAF World Athletics Championships to be held in London later this year.
