Doha: Indigo is starting a new flight from Qatar to India during summer holidays. This comes in the background of Jet Airways shutting down its operations from Qatar due to financial difficulties.

Indigo will operate an additional non-stop flight from Doha to Mumbai on a daily basis from July 5.

Flight 6E1708 scheduled to depart from Doha at 4:40am will reach Mumbai at 10:50am while Flight 6E 1718 will take off at 9pm arriving in Mumbai at 3:10am. The return service from Mumbai is at 11:55am and 6:40pm reaching Doha at 1:15pm and 8pm respectively.

The booking for the same is available on their website. There are two non-stop flights available to be booked until October 26 only and it is not clear if the service will be discontinued after that.

The airline has non-stop service to seven destinations in India, which includes Kannur, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kozhikode and Kochi.

Qatar Airways had earlier said in a statement that they have requested Indian Aviation Authority for a temporary increase in seats on their flights to India as these months see the highest traffic from the country to India.
