Kigali: The State of Qatar and the Republic of Rwanda have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in defence cooperation between the two countries.
The memorandum aims to establish a cooperative framework in the field of defence and security, in addition to enhancing and strengthening the existing friendship and relations of solidarity between the two countries.
From the Qatari side, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces H E Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit, who is visiting Kigali, signed the MoU, while Chief of Defence Staff H E General Jean Bosco Kazura signed the memorandum from the Rwandan side, in the presence of officials and a number of high-ranking officers from both sides.
