Baladna, Al Rayyan SC sign sponsorship deal

Doha: Al Rayyan Sports Club and Baladna Food Industries announced yesterday the signing of sponsorship agreement to have Baladna as the official sponsor of Al Rayyan Football team who plays in QNB Stars League (QSL) for the next two seasons. 

The sponsorship agreement was signed by H E Ali bin Saud Al Thani, President of Al Rayyan Sports Club and Moutaz Al Khayyat, Chairman of Baladna Food Industries. 

On this occasion Sheikh Ali praised Baladna initiative to sponsor Al Rayyan team hoping that this cooperation will continue in the future, with other major companies in the country taking a similar approach as Baladna by sponsoring other teams in the league as part of their social responsibility which will help sports in Qatar and elevate it to higher levels. 

Al Khayyat said: “This sponsorship of Al Rayyan Sports Club football team comes as a part of our Corporate social responsibility policy we have adopted in Baladna and all of our companies, to take part in serving the Qatari society and its advancement knowing that sports is one of the prime activities our government supports. We consider the success of the QNB Stars League, with the calibre of the players in it, to be our success.”

“We are proud to associate the name of Baladna with this distinguished team and the Qatari Football Association, especially as we realise that Qatar will be the host country of the World Cup 2022, with the preparations assuring that it will be the greatest sports event ever under the guidance and leadership of the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. This will add another emblem to Qatar’s other achievements in the fields of education, industry, economy, and social life,” he added. 

Al Khayyat expressed his pleasure with al Rayyan management to have Baladna as the sponsor of its football team and extended his gratitude to teams of both parties who worked on this agreement.
