Doha, Qatar: After dealing with unruly passengers and airport slot issues, an EasyJet flight finally took off after a 30-hour delay from Belfast International Airport to Hurghada, a popular resort city on Egypt's Red Sea coast.

Flight EZY3077, that was due to depart at 12:55GMT on Saturday, January 3, 2026, finally departed at 19:43 GMT on Sunday. The initial cancellation of the flight occurred after a group of passengers behaved disruptively onboard.

The BBC quoted the airline as saying that the aircraft was "attended by police prior to departure". It further added that it does not tolerate disruptive behaviour onboard.

The flight was further delayed after the passenger incident, as the crew reached their safety-regulated operating hours, resulting in the departure being rescheduled to the following day.

The flight, which was then scheduled to depart at 6:45 GMT, was delayed again due to the adverse weather conditions and slot issues.
