Doha: Al Shaqab Racing’s Meethag with Alberto Sanna in the saddle stormed to Umm Al Zubar Cup triumph during Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club’s (QREC) 25th Race Meeting at AL Rayyan Racecourse yesterday.
The seven-year-old mare – trained by Eric Lemartinel – outpaced Hidalgo Du Croate, ridden by JP Guillambert by over one length to win the feature for Purebred Arabians. QREC Racing Manager Abdulla Rashid Al Kubaisi presented the trophy to the winners.
