H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), posing for a photograph with Qatari athletes, who won medals at the 6th GCC Women's Games. The QOC yesterday honoured the medal winners during a ceremony held at the QOC headquarters.
Qatar won 34 medals including nine gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze, at the recently concluded Games held in Kuwait.
The ceremony was also attended by QOC’s First Vice-President, Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al Thani, Second Vice-President, Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari, Secretary-General, Jassim Rashid Al Buainain and Chairman of Qatar Women Sports Committee, Ms. Lulwa Al Marri.
