Manila: Two people, including a four-year-old girl, were killed, and several others injured after a car crashed into the entrance of Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the Philippine capital, Manila.

According to police reports and the operations center, the incident resulted in two fatalities.

The Philippine Red Cross, citing local airport officials, said that the accident occurred when a vehicle crashed into the perimeter fence and entered the taxiway near the entrance to Terminal 1 of the airport.

It added that the accident resulted in two deaths, while at least one person received medical assistance on the ground.
"We understand the concern this incident has caused. We urge the public not to speculate and to wait for verified updates, which will be issued as soon as they become available", airport officials said in a statement.
