Ballan appointed as AFC Referees Committee head

Doha: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has announced the appointment of Executive Committee member of Qatar Football Association and CEO of Qatar Stars League Hani Taleb Ballan (pictured) as the chairman of its Referees Committee. Ravshan Irmatov is the New Deputy Chairperson, in accordance with Article 33.2 (f) of the AFC Statutes (2023 Edition) and Article 9.9 of the AFC Organisation Regulations (2022 Edition).

It may be noted that Ballan held the position of Vice-Chairperson of AFC’s Referees Committee during 2018-2023 and his new appointment is proof of the confidence of AFC members in his capabilities, refereeing expertise and vision for the further development of refereeing in Asia.
