New York: The State of Qatar showcased its experience in inclusive social development during a side event titled "Towards Inclusive Social Development within the Framework of Social Justice," organised by the General Secretariat of the Arab League in cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab Republic of Egypt, at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
In her remarks at the event, the Assistant Undersecretary for Family Affairs at the Ministry of Social Development and Family, HE Sheikha Shaikha bint Jassim Al-Thani affirmed that social development grounded in social justice represents a fundamental pillar for building a sustainable future. She noted that the Doha Political Declaration, issued by the Second World Summit for Social Development, serves as an international reference document underscoring commitments to inclusiveness, equality, and non-discrimination, with a particular focus on the family and groups most in need of care.
Her Excellency highlighted Qatar's pioneering experience in the fields of social protection and social justice through an integrated system that promotes human empowerment, combats multidimensional poverty, and supports social cohesion, ensuring that no one is left behind.
