Doha: The administration of air cargo and the private airports customs (postal consignment department) has foiled the attempt to smuggle banned Lyrica pills into the country.
Customs also shared photos on Twitter, stating that the total lyrica pills seized were 1,200.
It also stated that the banned pills were found inside the parcles for cosmetics.
Last week, October 27, also seized a huge haul of prohibited tobacco. A total of 7335.kg was seized then.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
