Doha: The Qatari Businessmen Association has learned about the investment opportunities of Marseille, France, on the sidelines of the participation of the association’s delegation in the working visit prepared by the Qatari Embassy in France in cooperation with the French Cadran league, in the framework of strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation with major French cities.
During the visit, the two sides discussed mechanisms to develop relations in the field of culture, tourism and tourism investment between the two sides.
The Qatari Businessmen Association was represented by member of the Board of Directors Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani. Representatives from Qatar Financial Center and Qatar Development Bank participated in the visit, as well as Qatar’s Ambassador to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, and members of Cadran league and a number of prominent businessmen from Marseille.
A number of French businessmen talked about the port activity and its importance in the city. They also made a presentation on the Euromediterranee project, which is a project of urban and economic renewal in the city of Marseille to create a huge environmental zone around the port.
The project was announced in 1995 and is still under implementation.
