Poland’s Anita Wlodarczyk in her attempt in the women’s Hammer Throw to set a new world record (81.08m) at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial athletics meeting in Cetniewo, Poland, on Saturday. After a foul on her first attempt the 29-year-old smashed the record in the second round, beating her previous mark of 79.58 metres set in Berlin last year.
