Doha: Ooredoo has announced that its #SharingOurBest campaign raised around QR500,000 for charity during Ramadan.
The campaign included events and activities with the community, distribution of food boxes to the needy, encouraging the public to donate to charity via Ooredoo’s self-service machines and Nojoom programme.
Ooredoo promised to match donations to Nojoom charity partners, including Qatar Charity, Sheikh Eid Bin Mohammad Al Thani Charitable Association (Eid Charity) and Afif.
Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director, Community & Public Relations, Ooredoo, said: “We are delighted that this year’s campaign had such a positive response.
“Ramadan is all about taking part in the spirit of the holy month and we couldn’t have asked for a better reaction. Together we’ve given back to the community, and helped charities continue the work they do throughout the year.”
With doubled donations, Nojoom Loyalty Programme members raised QR232,400 worth of points for charities, with additional bonus from Ooredoo resulting in nearly QR500,000 for charity.
Self-service machines received QR2,270,758 for charities during the holy month.
