Qatar Stock Exchange’s benchmark (QSE) index gained 29.39 points, 0.28 percent, last week when the bourse closed yesterday at 10,480.52 points.
Trading value during last week decreased by 9.34 percent to reach QR1.12bn compared to QR1.24bn. Trading volume increased by 24.22 percent to reach 64.64 million shares, as against 52.04 million shares, while the number of transactions rose by 17.16 percent, to reach 26,653 transactions as compared to 22,750 transactions.
Market cap fell by 0.27 percent to reach QR586.51bn last week against QR588.11bn at the end of previous week, reports QNA.
Banking and Financial Services sector led traded value last week with 37.83 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 31.74 percent. Real Estate sector accounted for 9.90 percent and Consumer Goods and Services sector accounted 8.66 percent.
Industries sector led traded volume last week with 45.21 percent of the total traded volume. Banking and Financial Services sector accounted for 24.33 percent. Real Estate sector accounted for 12.80 percent and Telecoms sector accounted 8.28 percent.
When compared on daily basis, the QSE index gained 80.23 points, or 0.77 percent, compared to Wednesday’s closing.
