DOHA: As part of its Qatarisation strategy and achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030, QIC Group announced yesterday that it has commenced a knowledge exchange program with leading insurance company Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Insurance Inc. (SJNKI)
Owing to QIC’s reputation as the leading insurer in the Mena region, last year SJNKI sent its staff to QIC Headquarters in Doha for enhancing technical skills, exchanging experiences and adopting best practices.
Speaking about this new initiative, Abdulla Al Mulla, Group Chief Administrative Officer of QIC Group stated, “This collaborative partnership highlights QIC Group’s reputation and goodwill for which SJNKI has chosen us as the ideal partner. We wish to foster this growing relationship and take to its next stage of its evolution. It would be our way of cementing the partnership between the two business powerhouses.”
He added, “At QIC Group, we believe in empowering local talent. By implementing the QIC Sompo knowledge exchange program for our local staff we wish to empower our national talent by providing multi-faceted approaches to learning. Besides this, they can also gain an overarching experience and understanding of working in a different environment and imbibe the best of both cultures.”
