Minister Al Kuwari opens unique expo ‘Build Your House 2020’

A wide-range of world-class products and services related to the building and construction industry, are on display at the ‘Build Your House 2020 Exhibition’, which was formally inaugurated yesterday by the Minister of Commerce and Industry, H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, in the presence of dignitaries, diplomats, senior government officials and industry experts.

Over 120 local and international companies, many of them offering fully integrated and state-of-the-art solutions for housing development from the scratch, are participating at the first edition of expo, which will run until March 4 at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).

The expo also introduces visitors to the latest technologies and materials used in building, architecture, and interior designs. The exhibitors include companies from the fields of contractors, interior design and decoration as well as consultants and suppliers.

Organised by NeXTFairs, the unique expo is being held under the Patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.

The exhibition, spread across an area of 5,300 sqm, is expected to attract over 7,000 visitors during its run, as well as attending the workshops and seminars occurring onsite.

The exhibition is a first-of-its-kind and specifically targets Qatari nationals who are looking for ideas and tips to build their own house or to renovate their existing house. The exhibition is focussed on assisting Qatari nationals understand the processes and procedures involved in house construction and renovation. It serves as a platform to connect visitors to contractors and consultants to enable them to make informed choices when it comes to building their residence.

Several free workshops also being organised during the expo offering information on everything from laws and building processes to designs and latest trends. The workshops are divided on the basis of popular themes inspired from the latest house building trends from around the world. The workshops will be conducted by 30 experts from both the private and public sector.
