Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent yesterday a cable to President of the friendly United States of America, Donald Trump, extending condolences to the President and to the American people on the victims of the criminal incident that left dozens killed and injured in south Manhattan in New York City.
The Emir expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of these acts that terrorize the innocent, wishing the speedy recovery of the injured. Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent similar cables.
In a statement earlier, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar’s full solidarity with the US government and its support for all measures taken to maintain security. The statement extended condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of victims and to the government and people of the United States, wishing the injured speedy recovery.
