Milipol Qatar 2016 committee yesterday announced signing of 11 deals worth a total of over QR260m for different Departments of the Ministry of Interior (MoI)
This was announced at a press conference attended by Brigadier Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani, President of Milipol Qatar Committee, Brigadier Ahmad Abdulla Al Jamal, Director of Financial Affairs Department in the Ministry of Interior and a member of Milipol Committee and Brigadier Saud Rashid Al Shafi, Asst Director General of the General Directorate of Logistics and member of Milipol Qatar committee .
Addressing the press conference at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, Brigadier Al Shafi shared the details of the deals.
The first deal was sealed with Airbus Defence & Space amounting to QR 11.5m for the maintenance, support and up-gradation of the TETRA system, while the second deal was clinched with De La Rue Int Ltd worth QR22.250m for supplying 8 travel documents printers.
The third contract was made with GET Group for the maintenance of residency printers and their consumables worth QR10m, while the fourth contract worth QR7.8m was signed with Safran Identity & Security.
Brig Al Shafi also announced the fifth contract the MoI signed with Abdullah Abdul Ghani & Bros Co for the supply of 120 Toyota cars worth QR25.4m, and the sixth contract was awarded to Saleh Hamad Al Mana Co for the Supply of 30 Nissan cars worth QR6.7m.
The seventh contract worth QR21.7m went to Gulf Business Machines (GBM), while TELCO International gained the eighth contract worth QR 7.8m.
The ninth contract was awarded to Development company for Industry and Trade for the maintenance and data collection for traffic Radar Devices for QR4.4m. The tenth deal was signed with Sail Labs Technology of Austria for Comprehensive Media Monitoring Systems worth QR 2.5m, and the last deal was clinched with Ares Besiktas of Turkey for QR140m.
