DOHA: Under the leadership of the French Ambassador for Sport, Laurence Fischer, ‘Business France’ will be welcoming nine French companies specialised in the field of sport to attend the fourth annual French Qatar Sports Days starting today. Business France is the national agency supporting the international development of the French economy,
The two-day B2B meeting will be attended by Airbus, Arch Led, Egg Events, H4D, Idalgo, Metalu Plast, Neo Xperiences, Tibtop and Visul3 reflecting the diversity of French expertise in the sector will be on the ground to showcase products and services relating to sports equipment, facilities, e-sports, sportainment, sportech, e-health, marketing, communications and safety.
Lead by Laurence Fischer, the delegation is in Qatar to foster relationships with Qatari officials organising the FIFA 2022 World Cup as well as meeting other key partners and representatives in the field of sports, including the Qatar Olympic Committee, Aspire Zone and several federations and clubs, an official statement said yesterday.
France is one of the leading suppliers of sporting goods to Qatar. With a market worth €38.1bn, the sports sector in France is booming. France also has considerable experience in organising international sporting events whether at home or abroad and the visiting delegation will be meeting their Qatari counterparts to discuss sports in detail which constitutes as one of the key pillars of the 2030 National Vision.
The activities of the French delegation companies cover a full range of sectors, such as construction, transport infrastructure, safety, new technologies applied to the sporting sector (connected wearables), broadcasting, facilities maintenance, sports infrastructures and services, events planning, advertising, marketing, and ticketing.

To further show France’s commitment, a cluster of companies have formed “French Team 4 Sport” in Qatar to provide comprehensive solutions in sports event management, from fan zone global services to stadiums, accommodations, and IT support.
