DOHA: The 12th edition of the Radisson Blu-Olympic Sports Squash Tournament, hosted by Qatar Squash Federation (QSF), will begin today at Cabana Club and Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
The tournament, the oldest squash event for local players, is sponsored jointly by Radisson Blu and Olympic Sports.
The tournament has attracted more than 100 entries, Gamal Rasmi, Technical Advisor at QSF, said yesterday.
“The tournament will be played in nine categories and the matches will be supervised by QSF officials. The tournament will be held in Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Men’s A and B, Veterans and Professionals categories. We have received 106 entries in all the nine categories, which underlines the popularity of the tournament,” Rasmi said.
“We’re happy that Radisson Blu and Olympic Sports have continued their partnership with the QSF at the oldest squash tournament in Qatar for local players,” the QSF official added.
The matches will be held at two venues – Cabana Club and Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. THE PENINSULA
