DOHA: Indian Business & Professionals Council (IBPC Qatar) the apex body of Indian Businessmen and Professionals, functioning under the aegis of Embassy of India recently led a business delegation to a mega food and beverage industry trade show “Vibrant Tamil Nadu Global Expo and Summit” held at the IDA Scudder Trade Centre, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.
The delegation was led by Kala Gopalakrishnan, Vice President of the Council.
“Vibrant Tamil Nadu Global Expo and Summit is organized by the Government of Tamil Nadu and this mega Food & Beverage industry trade show with a well-defined set of programmes will take Tamil Nadu a step closer to becoming a hub for the F&B Industry. The Government of Qatar has been placing a special emphasis on self-sufficiency in food supplies.
The objective of Vibrant Tamil Nadu Global Expo and Summit overlaps with Qatar’s initiatives in this regard. The Summit provided an excellent platform for Qatari companies to explore business prospects and enter into long-term supply tie-ups”, remarked P Kumaran, the Ambassador of India to Qatar.
“With over 400 most prominent global F&B industry buyers from all over the globe gathering to meet a host of Indian suppliers with the purpose of sourcing new products, meeting with suppliers and developing new business partnerships, this unique platform will be very useful for buyers from Qatar” said Surinder Bhagat, Coordinating Officer of IBPC and First Secretary at the Indian Embassy.
The delegates participating in the summit from Qatar are being offered a host of incentives such as, discounted airline tickets, complimentary accommodation, local transport, factory visits to major companies, exhibition visit, summit participation, B2B & B2G meets, sightseeing plan, etc.
