Brussels: Assistant Foreign Minister H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met yesterday with the Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Belgian Parliament, Els Van Hoof.
They reviewed bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of humanitarian aid, the role of women in politics, the issue of exempting Qatari citizens from the Schengen visa, the efforts made by Qatar in the field of sustainable stadiums, and the emphasis on the power of sport in bringing people together, in addition to discussing the latest developments in Ukraine. Ambassador of Qatar to Belgium H E Khalid bin Fahd Al Hajri attended the meeting.
Assistant Foreign Minister also met in Brussels with the Vice-President of the European Commission for Promoting the European Way of Life H E Margaritis Schinas.
