The Amir Cup Local Organising Committee (LOC) has announced that this year’s final match will take place at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Friday, May 14, with a limited number of fans subject to conditions.

Only fully vaccinated people and those who have recovered from COVID-19 are eligible to buy tickets. No spectators under 16 are allowed for the Final Match. Vaccinated individuals must have received their second shot no later than April 30, 2021, while those who have been infected with COVID-19 must have recovered in a period of time from November 14, 2020 to April 24, 2021.

Fans who attend the final must wear a mask, adhere to social distancing and sit in the allocated seat according to their ticket. Fans must also show their Ehteraz application upon entering the stadium and have their temperature checked. Details related to obtaining tickets will be announced at a later time.

This is the second Amir Cup Final to be held in the last five months. The 2020 edition of the competition was played at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium – the fourth FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament venue to be inaugurated by the SC. Al Sadd lifted the 48th edition of the Amir Cup after a 2-1 victory over Al Arabi.

Earlier, yesterday, Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced the postponement of the Amir Cup semifinal, as a precautionary measure based on the participation of Al Sadd, Al Duhail and Al Rayyan in the AFC Champions League matches.

QFA said in a statement that it decided to postpone the two semifinal matches of the Amir Cup to be held on May 9-10 instead of May 6-7 as previously scheduled. This decision comes due to the participation of Al Sadd, Al Duhail and Al Rayyan clubs in the AFC Champions League matches that were held in Saudi Arabia and India.

It was made as a precaution after the return of the clubs to the country, especially those coming from India since Qatar imposed new restrictions in this regard.

The decision has been announced in accordance with the precautionary measures and preventive measures imposed by the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management and the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH). Al Sadd and Al Arabi will meet on Sunday, May 9 in the first semi-final, and Al Duhail and Al Rayyan will play on May 10.
