DOHA: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced the opening of a new branch at Tawar Mall. The new branch operates throughout the week from Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 2.30pm and from 3.30pm to 9pm, and on Fridays from 4pm to 9pm.
The Tawar Mall branch will provide easy access to QIB’s banking services to customers working and residing within the busy area of Al Duhail. Tawar Mall is supplied with exclusive attractions that gather many Qataris and residents. The imaginative shopping mall, located at one of the busiest areas in the country, offers a strategic opportunity for QIB to be closer to its customers.
The new branch at Tawar Mall will feature QIB’s second Interactive Teller Machine (ITM), “Live Teller”, a video-based interactive technology that allows customers to conduct transactions and banking services driven by a centrally based teller, in a highly engaging real time video/audio interaction. Through talking to Live Teller, customers can withdraw or deposit cash by simply using their Qatari ID rather than a debit card; they can also deposit cash and cheques without the need to wait in the branch.
QIB’s Bank and Shop service will also be available at Tawar Mall, allowing customers to enjoy their time at the mall until an SMS informs them that it is their turn to be served. The Bank & Shop service isofferednow across all QIB Mall branches including Tawar Mall, Q-Mall, City Center, Dar Al Salam, Doha Festival City, Mall of Qatar and The Gate Mall.

Tawar Mall branch opening takes QIB’s branch network to 30, with 11 Ladies centers, 9 Tamayuz (Affluent) centers,one private banking lounge recently inaugurated at Al Sadd Branch and two service centers.
