DOHA: Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS) has started conducting a field survey for the third consecutive year in an effort to appraise the services provided by other governmental ministries and institutions in the country.
In a statement issued yesterday, the MDPS urged the entire government agencies, public and private institutions, and the general public to cooperate with the field researchers to make this survey succeed. Besides, the MDPS invites all nationalities to participate and give their opinions through personal interviews with the researchers, or through filling up the online data form of the survey on the ministry’s website.
The survey aims to know the opinions and evaluation of government service recipients. It intends to identify their impressions and form a clear vision over the level and quality of government services, seeking to help develop them and improve their quality.
The survey will also provide a solid platform for establishing a direct link between government agencies and service recipients by listening to their views and working to meet their requirements. Moreover, it will contribute to improving the quality of services and raising the level of service delivery to the public in order to reach a high level of government services beyond customer expectations, which will benefit primarily the public and service recipients.
The questions in the survey focus on searching for ways of communication with government departments to complete services and receive the evaluation of their recipients, as well as on the effectiveness of government employees in providing services, speed of service, good reception, ease of communication with officials when needed, and the accuracy of the provided services.
The data collection method relies on the fact that a number of researchers interviews the recipients of different government services, while they are on the spot. The survey targets also the recipients of online services provided by the official websites of government agencies or their different mobile applications, or Hukumi. In addition, a specialized field researchers conduct field visits to a sample of recipients in their place of residence and collect the required data. The field data collection is expected to continue until the end of April.
