Jordan announces partial closure of airspace

Amman, Jordan: Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Authority (CARA), Dhaifallah Al-Farjat, announced the decision to partially and temporarily close Jordanian airspace to all incoming, departing and transiting aircraft, in light of current regional developments and a risk assessment in accordance with international standards.

Al-Farajat explained that this measure will be applied on a daily basis, as the closure will start from 6pm until 9am the next day. 

The decision will start from tonight, March 2 Jordan time until further notice, in order to ensure the safety and security of civil aviation in Jordanian airspace.

The Authority called on all passengers to communicate directly with the concerned airlines to confirm their flight schedules and follow up on any modifications that may occur therein.
