Sheikh Joaan while speaking about the tournament yesterday, said: “The competitions currently being held at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, with the participation of a group of game stars and top ranked players in the world, are an indication of the great and continuous support provided by the State of Qatar to padel, just like other increasingly popular sports.

The QOC President added: “On this occasion, we renew our thanks and gratitude to His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for the unlimited interest and support for Qatari sports which has had a great and direct impact on Qatar’s winning of hosting many major world events and championships annually in various games.”

Sheikh Joaan indicated that the organization of the Ooredoo Qatar Major Premier Padel comes in line with the vision of the Qatar Olympic Committee “to be a pioneering nation that brings the world together through sustainable sports development”... in addition to the great spread and popularity of the padel in recent years.

The QOC President renewed the committee’s commitment to provide full support to the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation in order to organize the tournament at the highest level within the framework of the attention given by the committee to all sports tournaments held in Qatar, and to provide the necessary capabilities to show it in a way that reflects Qatar’s leading position in the world in terms of organizing major sporting events.

Sheikh Joaan also expressed his wishes to all the participants and guests of the tournament for a pleasant stay in Doha, the capital of world sports, and wished them all success.
