DOHA: Qatar’s Olympic duo Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan are preparing to begin their campaign in the 2022 Volleyball World Pro Tour from the mid of March.

Featuring three tiers of competition and set to visit five continents, the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour begins in a month in Mexico, then travels to South Africa and Brazil in April and events in Europe and Asia later in the year.

A packed calendar will ensure fans enjoy superlative beach volleyball all year round on the world’s premier tour.

With events on five continents already announced, and more to come, a day of qualifications has now also been added to all top tier Elite16 events, extending competition by a day and opening the highest level of the Beach Pro Tour to more elite teams, who will compete for the $300,000 prize purse per event.

The Elite16 tournaments represent the pinnacle of beach volleyball, and now even more teams will get a chance to make the cut.

The Beach Pro Tour will be an opportunity for fans to cheer for their favourite teams. Look out for Norway’s Vikings Anders Mol and Christian Sorum, world champs Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes of Canada, Adrian Carambula, aka Mr. Skyball and many more.
