Qatari rider Hussain Said Haidan yesterday guided Colijn to win in the Small Tour competition of the Hathab Equestrian Tour on what was day two of the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) season opener.
At the Al Shaqab Arena, Colijn clocked a time of 47.86 seconds as Haidan won QR2,500 for his faultless routine.
Mohammed Said Haidan, astride Ziezo, secured the second spot in a time of 48.13 seconds. Said bagged QR2,000. Qatari female rider Tamader Said Al Marri in the saddle with Lucky Lady grabbed the third place worth QR1,500.
Lucky Lady clocked a time of 49.42 seconds in the 1.00/1.15m class. Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi (Rosconnell Bella, QR1,000, 49.84 seconds) and Mohammed Al Ghazali (Maradonna 25, QR700, 49.87 seconds) completed the top five out of 41 riders in the fray after eliminations.
